Joseph Lebovitz, the founder of Shelmar, was a true community man. His entrepreneurial spirit and passion for community led him to develop the Value Center, where local residents purchased everyday needs with a smile and the warmth of a neighborhood business. Joseph loved loved Wooster, a place his daughters Shelley and Marsha called home. He built his next venture in 1970, Shelmar, named after his daughters to welcome and deepen the community of Wooster, Ohio. The park sits on 126 beautiful acres and is in close proximity to the town and College of Wooster.
